Lately, I’ve been feeling stressed. Work, Finances, Relationships – things were starting to feel a little heavy and no matter what I did, I couldn’t shake it.

Then Juliet Haines suggested I see Michelle Mace, a Body Talk Therapist.

I knew nothing about Body Talk Therapy, but Juliet’s enthusiasm had me interested.

Michelle works from her rooms in Kenilworth, complete with an organic vegetable garden out back; overflowing with fresh produce.

She has been involved in health and wellness for over 10 years and treats people of all ages.

“Body Talk Therapy treats the whole person,” Michelle explained, “It looks at the mind-body connection and deals with the root causes of ill-health, not merely the symptoms.”

I lay on the treatment table not knowing what to expect, 101 things from my “have to do list” running through my mind. Michelle put on some relaxing music, encouraging me to relax, something I generally don’t excel at!

For the next hour, Michelle worked on all the areas where I was blocked; physically, mentally and emotionally. With each block she worked on, I literally felt the stress and anxiety fading away.

Memories of long-held hurts, fears and judgments were released one after the other, leaving behind a deep sense of calm and relaxation.

By the end of the session, I felt so relaxed it felt like I would float off the table.

No stress, no worries, no anxiety. This was a new experience for me.

This peaceful state stayed with me throughout the day. Problems that had seemed daunting before, now seemed solvable. Where before there was stress and anxiety, now there was a deep feeling of calm and acceptance.

Michelle’s work is difficult to describe and is best experienced first-hand. All I know is that I went in incredibly stressed and came out feeling ready to tackle anything.

I have already recommended her to three of my friends and can’t wait for my next session!
